Description
A client expressed concerns about potential security breaches in their IT infrastructure, consisting of 73 servers across three data centers. The primary objective was to detect, prioritize, and respond to cybersecurity threats, as the client suspected a data leak involving their customer database of more than 350,000 customers.
Solution
Given that the internal IT security policy was not in line with best practices, a comprehensive analysis of all units within the IT infrastructure was conducted. This involved the use of penetration testing and malware detection tools to identify various threats.
Results
The project led to the identification of critical vulnerabilities, which allowed for the isolation of compromised servers and data recovery from these affected servers. Timely detection of information security problems proved instrumental in safeguarding the client’s company, preventing potential damages estimated at $80,000.
