Description
The client aimed to develop a platform capable of conducting a comprehensive analysis of carbon emissions throughout the entire product development cycle, including the complexities of the supply chain.
Solution
To address this complex challenge, we initially created a working proof of concept that focused on a single component of the product development cycle. Subsequently, a supply chain reverse engineering approach was employed to automate the identification of different suppliers and their respective carbon emission levels at each stage. The prototype served as a visualization of the full-scale analysis capability of the platform.
Results
The client successfully presented the platform concept to investors interested in carbon emission reduction initiatives. The tangible visualization provided by the prototype demonstrated how the final product would function, offering a clear and compelling representation of its capabilities. This not only helped the client secure investor interest but also provided insights into the resource requirements and areas for improvement in the product development process, facilitating further development and refinement of the platform.
